Kokshetau University named after Sh.Ualikhanov has been a leader in the higher education system of the Akmola region for 60 years.

Over the years, the university has trained tens of thousands of specialists for the region and the country as a whole. The training is conducted in 58 bachelor's degree programs, 42 master's degree programs, 10 doctoral programs.

The University coordinates, develops and implements joint educational and scientific projects within the framework of international and national programs: Erasmus+ KA1 ICM, Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE, UniCen, state grants for scientific research.

It is among the top 200 universities in the world according to a separate indicator of SDG No. 4 – Providing quality education, ranks 29th in the QS Central Asia world ranking, and also ranks 862nd in the international ranking of "Green" universities of the world Green Metric UI – 2023.
