The 3rd conference of cooperation within the framework of the international Erasmus project "Waste" has started its work on the basis of S.Seifullin KazATIU.

The conference was opened by KazATIU's Chief of Staff, Ph.D., Associate Professor Zhazira Meyrkhanovna Zhazykbayeva and introduced Seifullina University to the conference participants.:

"Through the implementation of this project, it is planned to develop a master's degree program in waste management in each of the partner countries, and educational programs will be implemented and accredited by all cooperating universities." "According to the goal of the project, "To develop a joint interdisciplinary master's degree program in Waste Management to raise awareness of the circular economy using the experience of European universities," partner universities are working on analyzing educational programs, testing lectures, and improving teaching methods," said Zhazira Meirkhanovna.

Since international cooperation is a strategic direction for the development of our university, KazATIU intends to expand its network of partners, participate in international projects, and further strengthen international relations with universities around the world.

Today's seminar is aimed at developing a closed-loop economy in the partner countries through the development and implementation of the Waste Management Master's program, organized within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ project.

The project coordinator is Wismar University (Germany), the partners are the universities of Latvia (ESA University, Riga), Estonia (Tallinn Technical University) and three universities in Kazakhstan: the project coordinator is the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, Kokshetau University named after Sh.Ualikhanov and Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin.

Those who participated in the conference were Prof. Gunnar Prause from the University of Wismar and Wolfgang Gerstlberger, Professor of Economics at Tallinn University of Technology, made a presentation about their universities.

During the conference, KazATIU Chief of Staff J.M. Zhazykbayeva told: "In the field of science, the university implements 112 scientific projects with a total amount of funding of 4.6 billion tenge."

"One of the most important achievements is the MEGA-PROJECT for 2023-2025 "Development of new technologies for organic production and processing of agricultural products": the university became the winner of the program-targeted financing competition for 4 billion tenge. The aim of the program is to develop new technologies for organic production and processing of agricultural products based on the principles of the "green economy", the formation of regional technology parks and engineering centers in the agro—industrial complex.

"In the direction of commercialization of research results, 6 scientific projects are being implemented in production for a total amount of 2.9 billion tenge," she said.

In other words, KazATIU is ready for fruitful and close cooperation with every university that has come to this conference. We hope that in the future these relations will be built on a mutually beneficial basis and will become a guideline and a model of strategic partnership.
